About Author

Lucius Annaeus Seneca, often known simply as Seneca, was a Roman Stoic philosopher, statesman, and playwright who lived from about 4 BCE to 65 CE. He was a tutor and later advisor to Emperor Nero. Seneca is renowned for his contributions to Stoic philosophy, particularly through his moral essays and his correspondence with his friend Lucilius, which were compiled into a collection known as "Letters from a Stoic" ("Epistulae Morales ad Lucilium"). These letters explore various ethical themes and provide practical guidance on how to live a virtuous Stoic life.
