She thought they didn't know who she was or how she got there.

Dr. Javid, who spoke to her in Urdu, and a kind lady named Rehanna, who recited prayers, brought her some comfort. Malala drifted in and out of sleep, dreaming she was back in Swat. When she fully woke, she learned she had been shot on her school bus, and her friends had been hurt too. A bullet had entered her head and traveled down to her shoulder.
