Jon Kabat-Zinn is an American professor emeritus of medicine and the creator of the Stress Reduction Clinic and the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He is a world-renowned mindfulness teacher and the author of "Full Catastrophe Living: Using the Wisdom of Your Body and Mind to Face Stress, Pain, and Illness." The book, first published in 1990, presents the mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) program he developed, which has since helped thousands of people across the globe to cope with the psychological and physical stresses of life.
